INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is an ancient Ayuverdic therapeutic practice which focuses primarily on the head, neck, shoulders and arms. The massage includes techniques which are extremely relaxing to receive and can help improve overall wellbeing. This massage includes working on certain marma (acupressure ) points especially on our scalp, which can alleviate many issues and promote energy and vitality. A treatment can help relieve neck tension, reduce headaches and migraines, improve sleep quality, and enhance circulation. It can also help with eye strain, fatigue, shoulder and back pain.

At Alami Holistics, Anna follows the traditional method of Indian Head Massage which is given seated and without any fuss. There is a joy to the simplicity of this. You simply sit on a chair with an option put your feet on a cushion if you like. You don't have to take any clothes off, so this is a great treatment if you don't feel comfortable undressing or lying on a bed. Oils can be used but they really are optional as understandably not everyone wants to leave with oily hair and the massage works equally as well without oil. Half way through your Indian head massage you can move to the zero gravity chair to really help you deeply relax.

βAnna works intuitively and holistically. This isn't just a massage - this is an opportunity for you to be present and to reconnect with yourself. Indian head massage helps release not just physical tension but also helps calm our emotional and mental loads. This treatment includes some energy work / reiki which is given at the end of the session if desired This is completely optional but is a truly peaceful way to end and really helps you let go of any inner tension or worries that you've been holding on to.

What to Expect at your Indian Head Massage

After Your Treatment
Everyone responds uniquely to holistic therapies. Occasionally, you may experience a mild "healing response" (such as slight tiredness or a headache)
This is a perfectly healthy sign that your body is processing the treatment and rebalancing itself.
Make sure you drink lots of water and try to take it easy for the rest of the day. You should get a great night's sleep and feel replenished the next day.
